It's been a year since I last wrote on my xanga. I guess I am not a blogger afterall. My multiply site is just as empty and unkept as this one.

I have been waking up at 12 noon past for the last five days and I looove it! Nothing beats oversleeping! For a self-confessed gimikera and workaholic (now this is a really bad combination) like me, oversleeping is the best remedy to overfellowship and overworking. I don't recommend that you do that everytime you sin by over-gimiking and over-working. It's just that sometimes you really have to decide and plan on oversleeping. Too bad for me this can only last until tomorrow. Work is a day away from today so I guess my oversleeping will have to wait for its opportune time again.

what's in a name?

this definition does justice to who i really am. many thanks to pageman paul pajo for the link.

read on...

Our word this week is the Greek term charis. Joseph H. Thayer made some significant observations concerning the meaning of charis: "that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness…good-will, loving-kindness, favor… charis is used pre-eminently of that kindness by which God bestows favors even upon the ill-deserving, and grants to sinners the pardon of their offences, and bids them accept of eternal salvation through Christ."F1 Though our word charis is used 155 times in the NT, it is not always translated with the familiar word "grace."

(italics are mine for emphasis, hehe)

galeng noh? happy holidays!

just got back from yangon, myanmar for a two-week outreach. i had a really great time. it's like going to a retreat or a camp but ten times better. im still processing everything i've learned. i think i've grown a lot because of that trip. and should i say that i needed what i've seen and experienced. hence, i want to go to an outreach once a year. it's refreshing when you see how God moves in another nation and people. it moved me in every aspect. i hope i can go again soon...that is if work permits me. plus i want to go with the same people or probably the same kind of people. hehe.
